In terms of location I wanted to base most of my images around the city centre of Liverpool due to its famous and well known reputation of music culture. I thought that this would be an appropriate decision because the idea was relevant to the concept of a music magazine as well as the location being suited and seductive to my target demographic. Below are a few images/screen shots as to the locations of where some of my images where photographed.

Production Log - Mise En Scene
Costumes/Props:
T Shirts
Button shirt
Sun glasses
Hoodies
This image of Anthony Black ( main artist) is seen with the same props and costumes used stated at the top. The actor is appeared wearing sunglasses because I wanted to make my main artists stand out and look professional to the target audience. I took this inspiration from the NME front cover below. The main Artists of the band is wearing sunglasses which therefore reveals the connotations of him being a major and popular artist and so seems appealing to the demographic.

Music Magazine Images (Retaken)
After taking a certain number of image for my music magazine front page mock up, I knew that them images would not suit the criteria of my music magazine in regards to its context. The images taken where based in the same location, and use of the mise en sense for example props and costumes where limited and therefore did not suit the genre of my music magazine.
Below you can see the new and most recent taken images that will be placed on all pages of my music magazine front page, contents page and double page spread. These images are much improved compared to my mock up images as each and every image is taken in different locations. The use of the mise en scene is enhanced as there is a wider range of different props and costumed that match the criteria and genre of my music magazine.
Below are the image I have decided to use within my music magazine. Additionally I will manipulate the images using a range of ICT skills within Photoshop and InDesign in order to make my music magazine appealing to the demographic and give my magazine the professional look it deserves.

Risk Assessment
As part of my risk assessment for my Photography for my music magazine product, I have conducted some research as to what risk assessments should be applied within my photograph shoot. I have found some facts as to why risk assessments should be carried out within specific environments in order to avoid any form of harm or injury to people. Below are a few screenshots of a website I found stating health and safety advice for photographers.
I believe that researching these certain risk assessment issues are important within my production and construction process as I will take some of this advice into consideration when taking my images in order to decrease the chances of any harm or injury that may occur. Examples include ensuring that all equipment is safe to use and ensuring that the specific location of photography is set in a safe and secured area.

Music Magazine Front Page - 2nd Draft
After analysing my questionnaire I have now made a 2nd attempt to design a more professional outlook in regards to my music magazine front cover. I have used many elements within in design as well as Photoshop to construct my music magazine page and I have created an enhanced version of my music magazines. Below is the image of my front cover magazine that I have constructed as well as the positive aspects that makes my music magazine professional and appealing to my target demographic. Additionally I have included the negative aspects about the page that I will need to consider and approve upon within my final mock up.
Positive Aspects:
Positive Aspects:
- I have included additional features displayed around my page promoting certain contents within the magazine. Examples include the "FREE POSTER" and "SPECIAL 16 PAGE COLECTORS EDITION". This suggest that the magazine has a lot to promote and therefore the reader is more likely to buy my product.
- I have displayed different fonts and different size text, for example the text "IMM" is seen to be the largest and most dominant part of the text which suggests that this is the name of the magazine. The different fonts within the layout makes my magazine seem stand out and eye-catching to the reader.
- I have displayed a certain house style, representing the colours yellow, black and white presuming that these colours will be use on most pages within the magazine itself.
- I have manipulated the image of my main artists i.e. black and white, making him appear more attractive and most dominant on the front cover.
- There is a barcode displaying the price of my product and date of issue release located near the top my the front page.
- I have a white coloured background which makes my page appear less striking and desirable to look at.
- The mise en scene, for example the costume on my artists does not fit the suited genre of indie rock. Therefore other clothing is needed to be placed on my artists to make my magazine cover fitted to its genre.

Music Magazine Questionaire Results
Near the start of my research and planning in music magazines I was told to create a music magazine questionnaire. This questionnaire helped me to get a better insight as to what the reader and my audience want to see in a magazine in order to attract a wider audience in buying my music magazine as well as making my product interesting, exciting and engaging for the reader to read. I asked 10 candidates to answer my questionnaire and they answered all questions provided. After analysing my results I have now gathered enough information that will guide me towards my journey into creating a successful music magazine. Below are a list of pie charts that display the results to some of the key questions I asked as to what will guide me towards producing a successful music magazine.
The most important question that I had asked was "Do you buy Music magazines?" I needed to know whether people do actually buy magazines. I found that 60% of the people do not buy music magazines and 40% of the people don't buy music magazines.
According to Music Magazine buyers, I wanted to know why the buyers intend to buy music magazines and what they find most interesting about them. The majority of the readers stated that they intend to buy music magazine because they enjoy reading the articles within the music magazines and the readers want to be informed with a lot of information about the artist.
Most of the Non music magazine buyers stated that they do not buy music magazines because they are either not interesting enough or their are too many articles within the magazine itself.
I need to know what would be a suitable price for my product in order to make my magazine buyable. I asked every person I questioned how much would they or do they pay for a music magazine. Most people stated that a suitable price for a typical music magazine would be between £4 - £5.
As well as knowing a suitable price range for my product, I want to know how often people would or do consider buying a music magazine within a months period. Over 75% of the people who answered this question said that they would oftenly buy a music magazine once a month.
